i r +�or i COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII - i .,�or i RESOLUTION NO. *375 14 w i A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO FRIENDS OF THE ZOO FOR THE PURCHASE OF KIDDIE CARTS FOR THE PANA`EWA RAINFOREST ZOO AND GARDENS. WHEREAS, Friends of the Zoo is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization that assists the Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo and Gardens with new animals,exhibits, animal enrichment, j community events, and education; and 0 ; WHEREAS, Friends of the Zoo also runs the gift shop that provides kiddie cart rentals to i the public; and WHEREAS, the Friends of the Zoo is in need of funding to purchase new kiddie carts to i be used at the Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo and Gardens, which will replace the old ones that are well-used and are ready to be retired; and i WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency i Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, or event for which the grant shall be used; and i WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recration to provide a grant to Friends of the Zoo for the purchase of kiddie carts for the Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo and Gardens; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: FUND: GENERAL AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $6,000 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $6,000 CREDITED TO: 010.500.5503.39 Department of Parks and Recreation $6,000 Friends of the Park 341 Misc.
