RESOLUTION NO. 381 14
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND
FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR A GRANT TO THE POSITIVE COACHING
ALLIANCE PCA BIG ISLAND.
WHEREAS, the Positve Coaching Alliance PCA Big Island is a 501(c)3 nonprofit
organization and is in need of funding to assist in expenses related to certifiying trainers for its
community training workshops; and
WHEREAS, this funding will enable the Positve Coaching Alliance PCA Big Island to certify
more trainers, and in turn will enable the organization to provide more workshops for the community;
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief
funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the
nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, or event for which the grant shall be used;
and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the
Department of Parks and Recreation for a grant to assist the Positve Coaching Alliance PCA Big
Island; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $2,000
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5503.39 Department of Parks and Recreation $2,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this resolution
to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
