RESOLUTION NO. 382 14
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO `O KA`U KAKOU FOR
FOR THE PUNALU`U ANNUAL FISHING TOURNAMENT.
WHEREAS, `O Ka`u Kakou is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization supporting community
activities in the district of Ka`u; and
WHEREAS, `O Ka`u Kakou plans and promotes the Punalu`u Annual Fishing
Tournament; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency
Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution
identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, or event for which the
grant shall be used; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to `O Ka`u Kakou for the Punalu`u
Annual Fishing Tournament; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks & Recreation and the Director of Finance and that the Director
of Finance is authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
