RESOLUTION NO. 383 14
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND
FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS FOR THE HAWAII
COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department("HPD") is in need of funding to purchase
educational and informational materials including, but not limited to, brochures, handouts and leaflets;
and
WHEREAS,this purchase will allow HPD to provide outreach and education to the
community for such programs like DARE, community meetings and Community Policing; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the
Hawaii County Police Department to assist in the purchase of the educational material; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $2,000
CREDITED TO:
010.201.5203.02 Hawaii County Police Department $2,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this resolution
to the Chief of Police and Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to
make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
