RESOLUTION NO. 384 14
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE MATERIALS FOR A NEW PARK
SIGN FOR THE HONOKA`A RODEO ARENA.
WHEREAS,the Honoka`a Rodeo Arena is a recreational facility used by citizens of the
County of Hawaii for family activities, community functions, and other large events; and
WHEREAS, the stadium at the Honoka`a Rodeo Arena will soon be known as the Rose
Andrade Correia Stadium in honor of Rose Andrade Correia who was instrumental in helping to
develop a vision for the community, which led to the construction and development of the
Honoka`a Rodeo Arena; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation will need to purchase materials in
order to construct and install a new sign to reflect the stadium name; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purchase of materials for the new sign; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
