RESOLUTION NO. 38S 14
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO `O KA`U KAKOU FOR
THE COFFEE TRAIL RUN AND FUN DAY.
WHEREAS, `O Ka`u Kakou is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports
community activities in the district of Ka`u; and
WHEREAS, `O Ka`u Kakou promotes the Coffee Trail Run and Fun Day in Na`dlehu;
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency
Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution
identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, or event for which the
grant shall be used; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to `O Ka`u Kakou for the Coffee Trail
Run and Fun Day and associated activities; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
