I have lived in North Kohala for several years and regularly participate in the farmers' market as a
customer and a vendor. The market has grown considerably in the last few years and needs to
have the additional land for expansion. Parking is already an issue at times. As we strive as a r
community to produce more of our own food, we need reasonably-priced space to market the o
produce directly to consumers. Also, the market is far more important than just a place to buy and
sell. It is a social venue which makes for a strong and vibrant community. This Is great for
residents and visitors alike. y
