Dear Members of the Hawaii County Council,
This letter is in support of the proposed purchase of the subject 0.9 acre parcel in Hawi.
As an adjacent land owner in Hawi, we feel that this purchase would ensure that the current use
of the subject parcel,which has been an open,grassy lawn and informal community park for
decades,can be continued. As a formal"village green"this parcel,in the middle of a vibrant
Hawi,could be a benefit to nearby residents, surrounding businesses,visitors,and the broader
Kohala community in general.
