RESOLUTION NO. 378 14
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE
AINALOA BOULEVARD SHOULDER IMPROVEMENTS-COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the construction of asphalt shoulders to streets and roads addresses
pedestrian and vehicular safety where necessary; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14-24 amended Ordinance No. 13-66, the Capital Budget,
includes the appropriation for the Ainaola Boulevard Shoulder Improvements-County, Account
No. 110.388.5380.06; and
WHEREAS, the project will improve the shoulders on Ainaloa Boulevard from
approximately Vanda Drive to the Kea`au-Pahoa Road and the total cost is $86,000; and
WHEREAS, the project will be funded with remaining 2004A Bond funds designated
for the Puna district and this supplemental amount from Council District 5 Contingency Relief
funds; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to
the Department of Public Works to provide additional funds for the Ainaloa Boulevard Shoulder
Improvements-County; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Public Works and the Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
