Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Resolution No. 356-14,
reports as follows:
Resolution No. 356-14, transmitted by Assistant Corporation Counsel Katherine A. Garson, via
Communication No. 773 dated March 27, 2014, accepts the dedication of Drainage Lot 38, being
Tax Map Key: (3) 2-5-065:035, situate at Punahoa Mauka Subdivision, Punahoa 15`, District of
South Hilo, Island of Hawaii, from Akalea, LLC.
Akalea, LLC is desirous of dedicating Drainage Lot 38, including all subdivision improvements thereon,
to the County of Hawaii for drainage purposes.
Committee Member J Yoshimoto expressed his concerns over severe flooding in the area and stated that
he contacted and reminded the Department of Public Works to address these issues.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Resolution No. 356-14, and recommends its adoption.
