RESOLUTION NO. � 14
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT
FOR THE PARKS IN WAIKOLOA, KAWAIHAE,AND KOHALA.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation maintains the parks in Waikoloa,
Kawaihae, and Kohala to provide the public with safe enjoyable facilities; and
WHEREAS, the parks in Waikoloa, Kawaihae, and Kohala have limited resources
available to match the escalating use by the public; and
WHEREAS, the Park Caretakers in Waikoloa, Kawaihae, and Kohala are sharing
equipment, supplies, and resources to maintain the parks; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds for the
purchase of additional hedgers, chain saws, and edgers; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purchase of maintenance equipment; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
