No. 360-14 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 1:39 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 360-14, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 360-14, transmitted jointly with Bill No. 227, by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via <br /> Communication No. 779, dated March 28, 2014, authorizes the Mayor of the County of Hawaii to <br /> execute and submit the 2014 Action Plan and all other related documents to the United States Department <br /> of Housing and Urban Development for the 2014 Community Development Block Grant Program <br /> (CDBG). <br /> The County anticipates a 2014 CDBG allocation of$2,677,897 and the County also received an additional <br /> $99,811.53 of program income from the Residential Emergency Repair Program and anticipates receiving <br /> an additional $75,000 of program income within the 2014 program year, for a total of$2,852,708.53 of <br /> CDBG funds. The County shall utilize these funds in accordance with program rules and regulations and <br /> comply with the program certifications as provided in the Action Plan. <br /> Housing Administrator Stephen Arnett appeared before Your Committee to answer questions.
