Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 363-14, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 363-14, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 786
dated March 28, 2014, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal
year for a multi-year agreement with Hawaiian Telcom for Integrated Services Digital Network Primary
Rate Interface service.
The resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a three-year lease agreement, at a cost of$1,185 per
month, for services in Hilo and at the West Hawaii civic Center. The County would save $975 per
month.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation requiring
payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year shall be
made or approved by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 363-14, and
recommends its adoption.
