Mi MYw '\ <br /> 7rE OF•Np� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 41G 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE KAHILU <br /> THEATRE FOUNDATION TO SHOWCASE FILMS/MOVIES AT THE KAHILU <br /> THEATRE. <br /> WHEREAS, the Kahilu Theatre Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that <br /> oversees the Kahilu Theatre; and <br /> WHEREAS, for six months the Kahilu Theatre will showcase seven films/movies <br /> beginning in July 2014 through January 2015; and <br /> WHEREAS, Kahilu Theatre will coordinate the film/movie selections with the District 9 <br /> Council Office to showcase a variety of entertaining and educational topics focusing on health <br /> and wellness issues; and <br /> WHEREAS, when appropriate, there will be an opportunity for a short discussion about <br /> issues raised in the film/movie following the show; and <br /> WHEREAS, Kahilu Theatre will partner with local organizations and schools to help <br /> market this free offering to attract as many attendees as possible; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency <br /> Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution <br /> identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, or event for which the <br /> grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Research and Development to provide a grant to the Kahilu Theatre <br /> Foundation to showcase seven films/movies for children and adults at the Kahilu Theatre; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />
