COUNTY OF HAWAI STATE OF HAWAII ,tEOf NI••1, RESOLUTION NO. 429 14 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE RULES OF PROCEDURE AND ORGANIZATION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII BY AMENDING RULE NO. 27, RELATING TO USE OF THE DISTRICT CONTINGENCY RELIEF FUND. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14-43 amended Chapter 2, Article 42, Section 2-139 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended)to provide in part that any equipment purchased by way of a grant to a nonprofit organization using District Contingency Relief funds may be domiciled with the nonprofit organization, that the purchase be made without adherence to the procurement procedures of the County, and that the nonprofit organization assumes any and all liability for said equipment; and WHEREAS, Rule No. 27 of the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawaii includes language reflecting the previous provisions of Section 2-139; and WHEREAS, Rule No. 27 requires revision to reflect the newly enacted provisions of Ordinance No. 14-43; and WHEREAS, language of Rule No. 27 to be deleted is bracketed and stricken and language to be added is underscored, as indicated in the attached Exhibit A; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIIE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Rule No. 27 of the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawaii is hereby amended as indicated in the attached Exhibit A.
