Poindexter, Council Member District 1 N �? v SUBJECT: Certificate of Recognition Presentation for Council Meeting I am requesting your approval to present certificates on June 4, 2014, during the Council meeting. These recipients will be recognized for their achievements, devotion and generosity to the community. 1) Austin Makana Loo, for achieving the highest rank in scouting, that of Eagle Scout. He received his Eagle Scout Court of Honor on April 8, 2014. He has been with the Boy Scouts of America for 9 year and earned 28 merit badges. He fulfilled the requirements in the area of Leadership, Services, and Outdoor Skills. 2) Pa'auhau Community Association, Resort Management Group, Keoki Lindsey, Keith Burkhardt, and Tracey Bautista will be recognized for their help with the completion of the Pa'auhau Community Park. They provided their personal time with this project. The Resort Management Group provided hours of free labor, use of their machines and equipment and assisted with the building and completion of the open basketball court. With their efforts,the Pa'auhau Community Park is complete and contains a playground, pavilion, baseball field and an open basketball court. All recipients will be in attendance to accept their certificates. We expect to take approximately twenty(20)minutes at the Council Meeting. The Pd'auhau Community Association is an example of how a community unites as one to provide projects within their I town. One major project was the construction of the community park, which holds a playground, pavilion, baseball field and an open basketball court.
