BILLS FOR ORDINANCES (FIRST READING) Bill 208: ESTABLISHES AN OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2014, TO JUNE 30, 2015 Proposed Operating Budget for fiscal year ending June 30, 2015, includes estimated revenues and appropriations of $412,608,475, and is $9,403,477 or 2.3 percent larger than the budget in effect in December 2008. Draft 2 proposes amendments to the previously submitted budget for Fiscal Year 2014-2015. A narrative summary of the amendments is attached to Communication No. 689.6. This draft revises revenues and expenditures for accounts proposed in Draft 1 as follows: General Fund (total adjustments +$4,469,447), Highway Fund (total adjustments -$2,784), Sewer Fund (total adjustments $0), and Solid Waste Fund (total adjustments +$253,435). Bill 209: RELATES TO PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2014, TO JUNE 30, 2015 Proposed Capital Budget for fiscal year ending June 30, 2015, includes 45 projects requiring a total appropriation of $95.88 million, of which approximately $82.025 million are intended to be funded in whole or part by bonds, $9.215 million are to be funded by the State Revolving Loan Fund, $3.36 million are to be funded from Federal Grants Receivable, and $1.28 million are to be funded by fair share contributions.
