SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
SECTION 24-288 - KEAWE STREET — FREIGHT LOADING ZONE
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 6. Loading Zones,
Section 24-288, Schedule 36. Freight loading zones, Paragraph (c) South Hilo be
amended revising existing item:
(9) Keawe Street, SOUTHWEST jmaukaj side, mat FROM a point fifty-six
NINETY-ONE feet Puna SOUTHEAST of Kalakaua Street and extending

NORTHWESTERLY DIRECTION.
This amendment is being proposed based on a request to review the parking in the
subject area. Due to the addition of one parking stall and the reconfiguration of the
parking stall lines, the subject loading zone is being relocated six feet southeast of its
current location.
A location map is attached for your reference.
