With regard to issues now confronting the County regarding the 1996 Zoning Code, I'd
like to express serious concern on behalf of all who followed the rules set by the County
in obtaining necessary permits and who, under the law, have been operating their
businesses in good faith. For your information, the Planning Commission approved our
application for vacation rental on September 16, 1996.
Any substantive changes that would effect permits already granted could open
nullifications to legal challenge.
We ask that the existing Code be approved and validated as quickly as possible, as small
businesses and individuals, in particular, would be most adversely affected by delay or
revisions.
Please validate the existing code, thus protecting all who have been legally permitted and
who have satisfied all the requirements of the existing Zoning Code.
