GHB tind it aroused my curiosity. In short the therapists in the study explained that all of
the growth and rcpair of the cells that make up our bodies takes place when we are. in a
sleep state that they rcierred to as ~~deap sleep'-. They went on to explain that when eve
ore Ilrst burn and are young that we spend I and I/2 hours each night in that deep sleep
state grove mg and repairing damaged cells. By the time we are G(1 years old eve only
spend ~ minutes in that deep sleep slate per night. It is no wonder we would get old ifour
bod} ~s growth and rcpair time is reduced by more than 90°%.
l~'hat these researchers found was that by taking GHB as a sleep aid 60 year olds were
able to spend -l~ minutes in this deep sleep state. It was I~tund that they had a
corresponding increase in growth hormones in their bodies and the. individuals reported
fedmg much healthier in general. This research suggests that using GHB may u1d folks
in lie ing a longer, healthier lilt and Icnd to a higher qualit~~ of life.
Novv~, along wnh this good nevus for Iblks who are looking for ways to lead longer and
healthier lives comes these horror stories about careless and selfish individuals who abuse
what would otherwise be a promising nutritional supplement. These people who abuse
Gl fB should be punished as should any people who commit anti-social or harmful acts.
but it retitle is not fair to make otherwise law abiding God fearing good citizens into
criminals hp passing a blanket law tl'tal diminatcs U~tc possibility for those good cilizcna to
use GI IB responsibly.
Il is only a Icv+ irresponsible jerks who arc causing problems wiUi GHB. Why not pass u
law that is fairer to those responsible law abiding citizens who would use GHB to
enhance. the c{utility of their lives wfiile protecting society from those who would abuse
GHB'' Why not make a lave more like our alcohol laws" Uon't allow use or sales of GI IB
to or bti an~~ one under 21 v~ears of age and severely punish older people wfio othenvisc
abuse ri in anti-social ur harmful ways, but please don~t make responsible law uhidmg
citizens into cruninals in their search for healtler and longer Iives-
