ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 2, SECTION 24-265
OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO
YIELD LOCATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. This amendment is being proposed based on a need to assign right of way
at the subject one-lane bridges along Old Mamalahoa Highway.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2, Section 24-265, Schedule 13. Yield
locations, paragraph (c) South Hilo be amended by adding new items and renumbering as required:
( ) Old Mamalahoa Highway, northbound approach to Bridge 27-2.
( ) Old Mamalahoa Highway, southbound approach to Bridge 27-3.
( ) Old Mamalahoa Highway, southbound approach to Bridge 27-4.
( ) Old Mamalahoa Highway, northeastbound approach to Bridge 27-5.
( ) Old Mamalahoa Highway, northeast bound approach to Bridge 27-6.
( ) Old Mamalahoa Highway, northeastbound approach to Bridge 27-7.
( ) Old Mamalahoa Highway, northeastbound approach to Bridge 27-8.
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored.
In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to
any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end,
the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
