I acknowledge the fact that GHB has a potential for abuse for "date-rape."
However, any man who would use this substance for date-rape is like~Y' t0
obtain the substance whether it is legal or illegal. The fact of the matter is,
that GHB is cheap and easy to make, and is also readily available all over
the United States, as well as in most other countries around the world.
There is, and will always be, a black market in illegal substances, and never
in the history of the world has prohibition of any substance ever worked!
The type of men who would use GHB for date-rape will always be able to
obtain it, and making it illegal will only increase its curiosity and use.
I suggest that there are very few men who would engage in this kind of
immoral act, and i am here today to testify about the beneficial etI'ects of
this remarkable substance. which I think you will see is one of the most
beneficial substances ever discovered. I loathe to call it a'drug' because
in modern-day America, the generic term 'drugs' has taken on such negative
connotations although there are prescription, pharmaceutical drugs that
are very beneficial, and in some cases life-saving. I'm surprised that the
pharmaceutical drug industry hasn't become vocal in its opposition to the
negative use of the word "dntgs." However, I agree with the slogan of one
major US chemical company: "Better Living Through Chemistry."
What is surprising is that some of the worst drugs are not only legal, but
.are an intrinsic part of modern civilization: caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine.
GHB, ou the other hand, has so many beteficial effects, with almost no
harmful effects. Also GHB is used in the treatment of other drug addictions;
However, if GHB is made illegal, its use will increase, and also it will he
used improperly, and the situation will only get worse, not better.
GHB occurs naturally in the human body, and was first discovered more
than 30 years ago. Since then, there has been extensive medical research
itrto its applications to human health and well-being. ~vou study the
medical record rather than believe the hype & hysteria,,,.vou will see that
it is a totally safe, benign non-toxic, cF thorougl~v benef cial substance.

GHR is good for health (and there are many scientitic, medical reasons for
this). I also believe that GIIB is good
for fanuly values. because it
strengthens the bonds of mamage, helps induce a good night's sleep,
restores health, helps you overcome or quit other drug-addictions and bad
habits, and is dangerous to nobvdy if used properly, and should be readily
available fir anyone why wants it for better health &well-being. Again, it
will always be available vn the black market, even if it is made illegal, and
the people who would abuse it will be able to obtain it anyway, because it is
cheap and easy to make, and will always be readily available.
Supposedly, the anti-GHB hysteria is because a few men have used it as a
date-rape drug, but let us be realistic and recognize that alcohol is used by
millions as a date-rape drug. More deaths are caused by alcohol-related
traffic tatalities is the i7S each year, than die from AIDS, and there have
been no known cases of death caused by CiHB. if (iHB is banned, alcohol
should also be banned, because alcohol is the prime date-rape drug, and
~/rohol 1~c m:!ch more dangeror!c than GHB.
In the book Better Sex Thro~h Chemistry, published in 1994, the author
(Dr. John Morgenthaler) reviews 30 years of medical research into the
effects of GHB. GAB is t tel. ~ s e, and non-addicting, and with no hanQ_
over effect. In lab shidies, it was found that the LD-50 (lethal dose at which
50°'~ of the mice in the studies died) was equivalent to a person using apprvx
100 times the recommended dose and that the cause of death was from
sodium poisoning, rather than tiom GHB itself GHB is totally safe,
completely non-addicting, and is actually,good for your health.
I have used GHB on numerous occassions during the last 9 months, and I
have a few times experimented. taking relatively large amounts. You just
cannot take too much of this substance. It's almost impossible to take too
much. Altar awhile, you will just fall asleep (and get a deep, refreshing
sleep). Or you will become thirsty and drink some water or juice, which will
also bring you down from the effects. "I'he most GHB I ever used was 10
grams in a 24-hour period. although the lethal dose for a person my size is
cunsidered to be about 200 grams in a single administration (although that
amount, about ahalf-pound, seems impossible to ingest).
GIIB also helps me to do my work, both physical work, and phone work,
because it gives physical energy, while at the same time helps to overcome
mental and emotional inhibitions, including the tendency to procrastinate.

sleeping sickness.

take too much, you may teel di~w or nauseated; or it can put you into a deep

One of the reasons for . scare about GHB is the claim thin it can put you
into a coma, and it has been reported that reckless use of this substance at
nightclubs, bars, and parties has caused some users to suddenly fall into a
very deep sleep for about an hour. Such recklessness might cause the user
to end up in a hospital emargeucy room, only to awakau after an hour,
feeling completely refreshed, and wonder what the fuss is all about. Such
reckless use of this substance is a result of it being banned from over-the-

GHB is non-addicting. Thcrc is no craving for the substance, at any
time, unlike other truly addictive drum. including caljeine, nicotine, and
alcohol (three addictive, health-depletinP substances that are not only
legal but are an intrinsic hart oj~nodern civilization). GHB, on the other
hand, helps you to overcome bad habits. The morning after using GHB, I
feel refreshed, energized, and ready to go. GHB does not cause a hangover,
or seem to cause any wear on the body. It is completely non-addictive, and
there is absolutely no craving to do it again. It is a remarkable health tonic,
and one reason it helps overcome the other bad drug addictions is because
it makes you feel so healthy. that you don't want the other bad substances.
In fact, another use of GHB is in the treatment of alcoholism. I noticed

unlabeled black market in this substance, which is cheap and easy to make.
