Re: Revised County Zo?ting Code Draft 9
The t_eleiwi Community Association has a number of major objections that
should be considered for change in the Revised Zoning Code. This code takes
away many of the rights of the public to know and to have a decision as to what
will be built next to one's home or in one's own neighborhood. There are many
defective provisions in this revised zoning code which are inappropriate. We
ask That you seriously consider the fallowing provisions in the code be corrected.
25-1-~4• ; c) pg. 36 Contested case hearings not allowled for Use Permit or
Variance decisions.
This is a loss of public appeal. V~Jhen there is thaf much opposition then it must
b responded to and a mutual ogreemenT reached.
X5.3-1 pg. 62 Commercial ases such as adult care homes, group living
sti uctures, home occupations, putz!!c str~.ctures, allowed in RS districts without a
Use Permit. Crematoriums, hospitals, major outdoor amusement facilities,
mcrt~saries, or- telecommuniaatian towers r:Hawed in R~ with a Use Permit.

26-5-8 pg 84 to pg 161 Exceptions to the regulations may be approved by the
director in all districts within a Planned Unit development (minimum 2 acres} and

( 25-42 Original Code) pg 56 Shoreline regulations totally deleted.
More protection is needed instead of less because of the growing population
demands and needs.
25-4-20 pg 63 Telecommunication towers, utility pcles 500' high and public
buildings 100' high allowed in any district without a Use Permit.
This is very unfair to the people who already live there.
25-2-43 (c) pg 32 Published notice in lieu of notice by mail to surrounding
neighbors for amendments initiated by the council and director.
The neighbors must have better notification with registered mail.
Other objections are: No regulation for protection of historic sites, view planes,
native forests, significant places and places of great natural beauty.
We ask for your assistance to accomplish these changes and we continue to
take exception to the passing of this RZC draft. Should you pass this RZC our
expectation is that you will set in motion the process by which we can initiate the
changes or amendments
