RE: H.R.S. 46 -7. Statewide Marijuana Eradication Grant
Dear Chairman Arakaki:
The Big Island Labor Alliance supports the authorization to allow the
County of Hawaii to enter into an agreement with the United States of
America, pursuant to H.R.S. 46 -7, Statewide Marijuana Eradication Grant.
We do not approve of the violence that the community has been exposed to
that has been directly related to marijuana cultivation. Further, as
concerned citizens of the community, we appreciate the use of the money
for education purposes in the schools, to the youth groups and other
programs in the community.
We recommend approval of Resolution 329 -98 and ask for your favorable
consideration.
