These amendments are being proposed in an effort to lower the speed limit <br /> to 25 mph and increase safety through a portion of Kealakekua. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10,Division 1, Section 24-255, Schedule 3. 25 mile <br /> per hour limit, subsection (f), Kona, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), <br /> be amended by revising existing item: <br /> (8) [Mamalahoa Highway} HAWAII BELT ROAD (HIGHWAY 11), from the terminus <br /> of the State Highway in Honalo to a point five thousand one hundred feet in the southerly <br /> direction. <br /> SECTION 3. Chapter 24,Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-255, Schedule 3. 25 mile per hour <br /> limit, subsection(f), Kona, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended),be amended by <br /> adding new item and renumbering as required: <br /> ( ) HAWAI`I BELT ROAD (HIGHWAY 11), FROM A POINT TWO HUNDRED <br /> THIRTY-FIVE FEET NORTH OF HAUKAPILA STREET TO A POINT ONE <br /> THOUSAND FEET SOUTH OF HALE KEEKEE PLACE. <br /> SECTION 4.
