Representative .Arakaki,
After reading your ad in Sunday's paper I am still livid. I am not part oldie silent majority, I want
to say plainly - I am against the proposed road.
Our viewpoints differ as follows:
1. I am sure you are not 62 years old,
2. A widow,
3. On a fixed and tight budget,
4. I would never take 7 to 8 years to finish phase 1 of a project while spending millions of
dollars which are not mine and tell people there were still 6 phases to go.
5. Originally they wanted 50' off my land for this project, now they want 100' which puts
the road right through my living room„
6. I am too old to move,
7. I have no mortgage in my present location and can manage fine if left alone.
It is extremely poor planning to put a thoroughfare by a grade school and, unless Alii is made a
one -way one direction, and the new road one -way the other direction, this proposal will not
alleviate the traffic congestion.
I believe a better plan could be worked out without such outrageous costs and disrupting the lives
of people like myself who have lived here 30 years and now may be uprooted.
