Dear Mr_ Arakaki:
I am writing to inform you of my decision in favor of the construction of Alii Highway.
Unfortunately 1 had written a letter this summer against this road but 1 now realize 1 had made a
premature decision on this without learning all the facts.
Therefore I wish to remove my previous statement of disagreement with this Alil Hi¢hwav
and ask it to be indeed be completed.
I was asked for my opinion since T am a resident and home owner in the subdivision off of Alii
Drive and as 1 mentioned l didn't know enough about it. 1 now know there is a 400 -500 hone
subdivision approved to be built off of Queen Kalama wluc.h would cause the very thing I was
afraid of when T wrote the first letter. That is unsafe road conditions for niy children and animals
and too much traffic which could lead to accidents, igiury etc.
This is the very thing that would occur if we do not move forward with this decision to build Alii
Highway, We need relief down here and more ways out in the case of a civil emergency.
Won't you please do all you can to insure the completion of Alii Highway as I feel there are
many other homeowners like myself who have now learned the facts and do indeed wish this
project complete. Maybe another request for people's opinions is in order?
