I am disappointed and outraged to hear that the $30 million bond float does not contain
any provision for funding a solid waste transfer station for Hawaiian Ocean View Estates
area, Our residents need (desperately) a place to transfer garbage to without having to
take it somewhere where it takes a hour to drive there and a hour to drive back. There
will he random dumping of garbage along the highways and also along residential streets
or wherever it can be done without being noticed.
It is bad enough that the people on island are not encouraged to recycle. It is a major
inconvenience to do so as a matter of fact.
We need dumping capabilities close to HOVE!! Please do not ignore us, in order for other
loss basic needs in other districts to be funded.
Anything you can do to help would be only positive and appreciated!!
