Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 269,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 269, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. W. Lee, via Communication No. 941
dated June 26, 2014, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2, Section 24-265 of the Hawaii County
Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended) by adding seven one-lane bridges along Old Mamalahoa
Highway to Schedule 13 (yield locations), Subsection (c), South Hilo.
This amendment is being proposed based on a need to assign right of way at the subject one-lane bridges
along Old Mamalahoa Highway.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Bill No. 269, and recommends its passage on first reading.
