Re : Resolution 492-92
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution `-492-92,
reports as follows :
Resolution 492-92 requests the Administration to exercise restraint
in filling new positions and vacancies until such time as the County
has had the opportunity to assess the implications of the State ' s
belt-tightening measures .
Your Committee is concerned that the State ' s revenue projections are
not optimistic and that the State has already announced a
belt-tightening policy through 1993-94 . In light of the State ' s
fiscal restraint program, your Committee feels that the County needs
to consider the impacts of the State ' s position and the County needs
to develop alternatives to its programs and services .
Your Committee on Finance to which was referred Resolution 492-92
concurs with the intent and purpose and recommends its approval by
the Council .
