Re: Communication 3928/Resolution 497-92
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 497-92 ,
reports as follows:
Resolution 497-92, exercises the Mayor ' s authority to create a
position of Equipment Operator I (Temporary) WB-6 to be assigned to
the Hilo Municipal Golf Course and further the Council approves the
recommended funds for said position .
Your Committee understands that this creation does not increase the
number of positions, but provides the opportunity to assess the
future need for a permanent position. It is further understood that
funds are available in the regular salaries and wages account of the
Golf Course Division. The estimated cost increase is $800 . 00 per
year .
Your Committee also expressed its concern that funds for a frontend
loader was approved without the operating personnel .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent and purpose of
Resolution 497-92 and recommends it be approved by the Council .
