Your Committee on Finance to which was referred Bill 639 , reports as
follows :
The purpose of Bill 639 is to amend Ordinance 92-73 , the Operating
Budget for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 1993 by establishing a
new revenue account, State Grant - DOT Eqpt & Training Grants, in
the amount of $22, 956 and appropriating same to the following
expenditure account .
010-271-5271 .42-104 DOT Eqpt & Training Grant $1, 000
-115 Misc. Contract Svc. 1, 000
-227 Computer & Office Supplies 1, 000
-450 Office Equip. & Fixt-Furn 4 , 290
-454 Computer Equip. 15, 666
$22, 956
These funds are being made available through the Highway Safety
Project Grants program. The Department anticipates that the result
of the above-mentioned expenditures will be:
1) More efficient use of DUI deputy prosecutor ' s time.
2) Improved litigation skills .
3) Sharing of legal research and case pleading on a statewide
basis .
