Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No . 467-92, reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution No . 467-92 is to approve Nansay Hawaii ,
Inc. donation of a part of their community benefit assessment to
North Hawaii Community Hospital, Inc. ' s fundraising efforts .
Comm. No. 3823 , from Councilman Spencer K. Schutte, dated June 2,
1992, transmits Resolution No. 467 which requests that the Planning
Commission approve Nansay Hawaii , Inc . ' s donation of the balance of
the $3 million community benefit assessment to the North Hawaii
Community Hospital, Inc. ' s fundraising efforts . This donation is
meant to satisfy the community benefit assessment requirement of Use
Permit No . 82 .
Your Committee learned that the balance of the community benefit
assessment is 1 . 0 million dollars which will be donated to the North
Hawaii Community Hospital, Inc. The concern was raised that the
community benefits have not been codified.
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolution
No. 467-92 and recommends its adoption.
