Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No. 468-92, reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution No . 468-92 is to commit other community
benefit assessment monies to construct an advanced life support
station in Waikoloa. Resolution No . 468-92 also requests that the
County Administration initiate negotiations with the State
Department of Health in order to incorporate the Waikoloa Fire
Station as an advanced life support station.
Comm. No . 3824 , from Councilman Spencer K. Schutte, dated June 2,
1992, transmits Resolution No . 468 which requests the Council to
commit to utilizing the proceeds of other community benefit
assessments for use in the construction of an advanced life support
station. This station will house a ground responder unit and an
Aero Medivac helicopter unit on a three-acre parcel of land owned by
the County. An aero Medivac helicopter unit has the capability for
Advanced Life Support .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolution
No. 468-92 and recommends its adoption.
