Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication
No . 3672, reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication No . 3672 is to request matching funds
for the proposed 1994 Crime Stoppers International Conference bid.
Comm. No . 3672 from Alan J. Pratt, PH. D. , President, Board of
Directors , West Hawaii Crime Stoppers, Inc . , dated May 4 , 1992,
requests matching funds to assist with their bid to bring the 1994
Crime Stoppers International Conference to West Hawaii .
Communications No . 3683 , 3684 , 3697, 3698, 3700, 3701, 3708, 3712,
and 3713 are in support of County of Hawaii funding support for the
1994 Crime Stoppers International Convention bid effort .
Your Committee on Finance moved that a resolution be drafted
transferring and appropriating $5, 000 . 00 out and from Clerk-Council
Misc Cont Sery account to R&D Tourism Promotion-Misc Charges Account
as funding support for the West Hawaii Crime Stoppers, Inc. bid
effort . Your Committee recommends that this resolution be forwarded
to Full Council and recommends its adoption.
