Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication
No . 3677, reports as follows :
Comm. No . 3677 from Mayor Lorraine R. Inouye, dated April 30, 1992,
requests acceptance of the donation of one (1) Panasonic Time Lapse
Video Recorder, Video Switcher and Video Monitor, valued at
$3, 058 . 80, donated by First Hawaiian Bank, 165 S. King Street,
Honolulu, Hawaii, 96813 . Three (3) Panasonic Video Cameras with
accessories, valued at $1, 912 . 75, were donated by Central Security
Systems, 1724 Hart Street, Honolulu, Hawaii , 96819 . Central
Security also donated their labor and travel expenses to install the
cameras at the Kona Police Station' s cellblocks . A copy of their
itemized listing is transmitted, however, their cost is
$1, 912 . 75 .
Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donation.
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donations and
that letters of appreciation be forwarded to (1) Central Security
Systems, 1724 Hart Street, Honolulu, Hawaii , 96819 for three Video
Cameras and installation and (2) First Hawaiian Bank, 165 S. King
Street, Honolulu, Hawaii , 96813 , for one Panasonic Time Lapse Video
Recorder, Video Switches d Video Monitor .
