Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication
No. 3671, reports as follows :
Comm. No. 3671, from Mayor Lorraine R. Inouye, dated April 30, 1992,
requests acceptance of the donation of five secondhand Intoxilyzer
breath testing instruments, valued at $800 each or a total of
$4 , 000, donated by the Maui Police Department, to be assigned to the
County' s Crime Lab.
Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donation.
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation of
five (5) intoxilyzers valued at $4 , 000 and that a letter of
appreciation be forwarded to the Maui Police Department, 55 Mahalani
Street, Wailuku, Hawaii 96793 .
