Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 601, reports
as follows :
The purpose of Bill 601 is to amend Ordinance No . 91-51, the Capital
Improvement Budget for Fiscal Year 1991-92, by adding the following
project :
Parks and Recreation:
Puueo Community Day Care Center - Private $173 , 000 . 00

Funds for the project shall be provided from
Private Contribution Receivables $173, 000 . 00 .

Comm. No . 3531, from Finance Director William Takaba, dated
March 19, 1992, transmits Bill 601 to amend Ordinance 91-51,
Relating to Public Improvements and Financing by adding the Puueo
Community Center Day Care Center . $173 , 000 for this project shall
be provided from the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation.
Your Committee learned that this is a State coordinated project and
will be turn keyed to the County upon completion. The community
center portion of the facility will be operated by the County of
Hawaii through the Department of Parks and Recreation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 601 and recommends that it pass first reading .
