Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 589 , reports
as follows :
The purpose of Bill 589 is to amend Ordinance 91-50, the Operating
Budget for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 1992 by increasing
revenues in the following account :
3301 .43 FEDERAL GRANTS -UMTA SEC 18/RTAP $1,400 . 00
and appropriate to the following fund:
010-311-5311. 70-450 UMTA SEC 18/RTAP-
OFFICE EQUIP $1,400 . 00
Total $1,400 . 00
Communication No . 3409 . from Finance Director William Takaba, dated
March 5, 1992, submits Bill 589 to amend Ordinance 91-50,
increasing revenues to the Mass Transit Agency by $1,400 . 00 .
States, the increase is due to a federal grant received through the
State Department of Transportation, enabling the Agency to purchase
two cellular telephones which will be used to enhance emergency
maintenance and supervisory support . This communication transmits
the following items for review: request for council action; letter
from Rex Johnson, Director, DOT, supporting the purchase.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 589 and recommends that it pass first reading .
