Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 568, reports
as follows :
The purpose of Bill 568 is to amend Ordinance 91-50, the Operating
Budget for Fiscal Year 1991-92, by appropriating revenues in the
following General Fund account :
Account Source Amount
3301. 77 FEDERAL GRANTS - PASSIVE SENSORS $3 , 500 . 00
and appropriating same to the following account :
010-201-5219 . 09-115 PASSIVE SENSORS $3 , 500 . 00
Communication No . 3289 , from Finance Director William Takaba, dated
January 31, 1992, submits a bill to amend Ordinance No. 91-50, by
appropriating $3, 500 for the purchase of four passive sensors to be
used to assist officers in determining if a driver is impaired as a
result of consumption of alcoholic beverages . States, the money
will come from a grant through the State Motor Vehicle Safety
Office. Transmits for review appropriate documentation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 568 and recommends hat ' •ass first reading .
