Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication
No . 3257, reports as follows :
Communication No. 3257, from Director of Finance William Takaba,
dated January 22, 1992, requests acceptance of the donation of a
portable information exhibit at Kalapana and 100, 000 brochures for
the exhibit valued at $25, 000, which were donated by Hawaii Visitors
Bureau.
Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donation.
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation, and
that a letter of appreciation be forwarded to Hawaii Visitors Bureau
for the construction and donation of a portable exhibit at Kalapana
and for the donation of 100, 000 brochures for the exhibit .
