Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No. 390-92, reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution No. 390-92 is to transfer/appropriate
$50, 000 . 00 in the General Fund for Hawaii County Building Telephone
System.
Communication No. 3093 , from Finance Director William Takaba, dated
November 12, 1991, transmits a resolution to transfer funds from the
Contingency Account to the Telephone Account to allow the County to
replace its telephone system in the County Building, excluding those
that have already been replaced. States, replacement was originally
scheduled for last fiscal year, but due to unsatisfactory bid
results, the purchase could not be completed and the appropriated
funds lapsed. Transmits justification for review.
Communication No. 3265, from Finance Director William Takaba, dated
January 23 , 1992, informs that it is unlikely that the County will
be able to obtain a comprehensive study of telephone systems for the
Office of Prosecuting Attorney and the County Building with _funds
currently available and that it would be more advantaged to use
the consultant to develop the bid specifications and `evaluation
criteria instead.
Requests passage of Resolutions 389 and 390 so they can proceed with
their telephone system purchases for the Office of the Prosecuting
Attorney and the County Building .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Resolution
No. 390-92 and recommends its adoption.
