Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 555, reports as
follows : -
The purpose of Bill 555 is to amend Ordinance 91-50, the Operating
Budget for Fiscal Year 1991-92, by increasing revenues in the
following General Fund account :

3301 . 21 FEDERAL GRANTS - $9 . 000 . 00
RURAL COMMUNITY FIRE PROTECTION
and appropriating same to the following account :
010-221-5221 . 10-480 FIRE PROTECTION - $9 , 000 . 00
MISC. EQUIP.
Comm. No . 3237, from Director of Finance William Takaba, dated
January 3 , 1992, transmits Bill 555 and appropriate documentation.
Comm. No . 3237 states that the current appropriation is $5, 000 . 00 for
training and the Fire Department will be actually receiving
$14 , 000 . 00 total in Rural Community Fire Protection grant funds to
train, organize, and equip its workers for fire protection. The
$9 , 000 . 00 will be used for 3 pak radios for Pahoa, Kawailani , and
Waimea .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent of Bill No. 555
and recommends its adoption.
