Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No . 386-91, reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution No . 386-91 is to transfer and appropriate
$3 , 100 as follows :

Equipment
Communication No . 3050, dated November 5, 1991, from Director of
Finance transmits said Resolution No . 386 and departmental
information and justification.
Your Committee was informed the Prosecutor ' s Office budgeted $6, 000
for a direct data link between its Kona office VS65 computer and
Hilo office VS7010 . Presently both office systems are linked via
the County VS100 which reduces the number of terminals that can log
on at any one time and increases the unavailability of the link if
the VS100 goes off line.
In order to effect the direct link, purchase of new modems are
necessary. Presently budgeted funds for the data link are in
Contingency.
Pursuant to Section 10-9 of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council,
by resolution, may transfer part or all of any unencumbered
appropriation balance from one agency to another .

of Resolution No. 386-91 and recommends its adoption.
