Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 519 , reports
as follows :
Bill 519 proposes to amend Ordinance 91-50, the Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 1991-92, by increasing revenues in General Fund
Account No . 3301 . 61, Federal Grants-Sobriety Checkpoint, by $20, 000,
and appropriating same to the following account :

010-201-5218 . 93-115 Sobriety Checkpoint-1991 $12, 000 . 00
Communication No . 3005, dated October 18, 1991 from Director of
Finance, transmits said Bill No . 519 and informs total State
contract from the State Motor Vehicle Safety Office is $22, 000 . 00 of
which only $10, 000 . 00 has been appropriated. Request additional
$12, 000 . 00 grant be appropriated to sobriety checkpoint account .
Monies to be used for expenses incurred during DUI roadblocks on the
island. The number of days DUI roadblocks will be increased by
57 days .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 519 and recommends that it pass first reading .
