Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 518, reports
as follows :
Bill 518 proposes to amend Ordinance 91-50, the Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 1991-92, by increasing revenues in General Fund
Account No . 3301. 62, FEDERAL GRANTS - SEATBELT ENFORCEMENT, by
$10, 000 . 00, and appropriating same to the following account :

010-201-5218 . 94-115 Seatbelt Enforcement - 1991 $10, 000 . 00
Communication No. 3004 , dated October 18, 1991 from Director of
Finance, transmits said Bill No . 518 and informs total State
contract from State Motor Vehicle Safety Office is $20 , 000 . 00, of
which only $10, 000 . 00 has been appropriated. Request additional
$10, 000 . 00 grant be appropriated to seatbelt enforcement account .
The monies are to be used for seatbelt enforcement roadblocks around
the island.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 518 and recommends that it pass first reading .
