Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication
No . 2891, reports as follows :
Communication No . 2891, dated September 16 , 1991, from the Director
of Parks and Recreation, requests Council accept a ping-pong table
donated by Ray and Helen Vallies for use at the Pahoa Community
Center . According to the Director, the ping-pong table is in
excellent condition.
Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money,
securities or other personal property or real estate or any interest
in real estate.
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance of the donation of a
ping-pong table and that a letter of appreciation be forwarded to
Ray and Helen Vallies , P. O. Box 1390, Pahoa, Hawaii 96778 .
