(your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication
No . 2862 , reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication No . 2862 is to recommend the
appointment of Mr . Jaime Tomas, a republican from Hilo, as a member
of the Liquor Control Adjudication Board. If confirmed, Mr . Tomas
would fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Angelo Kagawan
and serve until December 31, 1994 .
Mr . Tomas was born in Hilo, graduated from Hilo High School and
attended Hawaii Community College. He retired from the U. S. Army
after serving 21 years . He is president of the Sampaguita Club of
Hilo, member of the Pepeekeo Filipino Community Organization, Keaau
Saranay Filipino Club and Big Island Filipino Community Council .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Mr . Jaime Tomas to the Liquor Control Adjudication Board.
