Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 486, reports
as follows :
Bill 486 proposes to amend Ordinance 91-50, the Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 1991-92, by increasing revenues in the following General
Fund account :

Communication No . 2836, dated August 29 , 1991 from the Finance
Director transmits said Bill 486 and departmental justification,
which therein explains the appropriation of $53 , 600 includes two
federal grants-in-aid to Mass Transit Agency to enhance services and
promote ride-sharing alternatives .
Your Committee was informed the funds will be used to purchase
electronic tachographs, tele-communication device for the deaf (TDD)
unit Ride-sharing Education/Awareness Program.

Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the intent and purpose
of Bill 486 and recommends that it pass first reading.
