Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication
'No. 2606 , reports as follows :
The purpose of Communication No . 2606 is to recommend the following
appointment:
BOARD OF ETHICS
Ms . Lorraine P . Shin, a democrat from Hilo, to fill
the vacancy of Ms . Gail M. Makuakane-Lundin, for a
term ending December 31, 1992 .
Ms . Shin is the owner of Karrots Health Food Deli and president of
Polynesia Management Corp. Born on Oahu, Ms . Shin is a graduate of
Kaimuki High School and the University of Hawaii , where she received
a Bachelor ' s degree in Business Administration.
Pursuant to Section 14-5 of the Hawaii County Charter, the mayor
shall appoint members to the Board with the approval of the Council,
as prescribed in Section 13-4 .
Your Committee on Finance recommends approval of the appointment of
Ms . Lorraine P . Shin to the Board of Ethics .
